Adding Rain To A Scene With A Roof

Are there any Rain effects that can be used in which the environment has a roof?

It's a Gas/Petrol Service Station. The characters and camera are underneath the roof, so the rain should not fall where the roof is. I've tried Iray Rain. It just covers the whole camera view. See attachments.

Rain systems usually is a number of planes with texture.

Go to Prespective view, select the rain system in the scene tab, and click the frame icon in viewport.

Then move the system away from the service station, so it is outside the foor, but still in view by the camera.

    Thank you.

I could move it along all the axis. See attachment.
