Asset Library

Is there a product that will give me just the images so that I can see what I have in my library?  I've been playing with Daz for more than 5 years.  Whenever there is a sale I tend to buy in bulk!  I have more than 2.5 TBs of stuff.

However, when I'm trying to create a scene, I forget some of my assets and it's hard to go through more than 5 years of assets.  Characters are pretty simple, but environments and props are harder.

My process tends to be looking through my library and getting my idea from something in my library.

Anyone have any ideas?

Someone with more experience and/or more stuff and/or more utilities in Daz Studio may be able to give you a more comprehensive answer but I have found that my key to trying to keep track of what I have is asset organization.  I’ve not bought any store utilities that might help with this but I do use the search feature in Smart Content and the Content Library to find (hopefully) stuff.

Some users like to rely on Categories (created by Daz Studio and the user).  For the past two or three years I have also been adding keywords to content to make finding assets easier.  For example, I have quite a few science fiction items.  Doing a regular search will only find those items with the search string in the title.  But not all science fiction items have Sci-Fi, Sci Fi or SciFi in the title.  So, searching for Sci Fi does not identify Predatron’s 14 MU Link Chamber.  So, I add the keyword “scifi” to science fiction items as I come across them in my library. Then, using the keyword search key::scifi will find all items with that keyword.  I also add other types of keywords to content as needed/desired – for example, vendor, store (e.g., Renderosity), etc.
