Thanks, it's a bit messy on the feet but better than nothing

I thought I had painted the feet etc, out of the dress, but I can see the are some remains.

That means, that when you start simulation it should be in A-pose and with flat feet.

Here it is simulated from flat feet. I usually always use animation, as I have better control over what happening.

Are you simulating it?, It will look weird if not?

    Not something I have experienced.

    Which pose are you trying?

But the straps has its own material zone. Either reducing the Dynamic Strength for them to 0.8 should make it more stable. A value of 0 means it will not be simulated. Else change Contraction-Expansion to maybe 0.9 (that will reduce the lenght (and width) of the straps to 90%).

Other possibility is to increase friction on straps to a higher value. 1.0 would probably fix them.

    Regards,

    Richard

I reduce the dynamic strength to 0.6 and it fix the problem, thanks!!

@felis that is a lovely 'simple black dress' which is a wardrobe staple for any woman. Especially if you have the figure for it!

Nice dress! Thank you. I applied a shader. Since you mentioned the weightmapping error on the feet, I removed all the weight from foot, metatarsal and toes. That made the simulation even better.

Can you please tell me how to do that? I've not worked with weight mapping before. Do I have to paint with the brush or can I sellect and delete?

You can select the geometry of the dress and then select each bone of each toe, metatarsal, and foot, one by one, and set the weight of that bone to zero. You don't have to paint with the brush. If there is a way to do all bones at once, I don't know how. I know this is a very sketchy explanation, but I'm not at my computer to do any screenshots or anything.

Yeah, I did it too fast when I initially did it.

I cleaned it up yesterday, and planned to upkoad it.

I don't see any weight assigned to the dress thighs? Is that your intent?

Hmmm, maybe because I autofit it to another generation. The dress by itself looks OK.

There is something weird going on.

This is what the weights look like for left-thigh-bend

But then I autofitted to G9, and then there was no weights on thigh-bend, but all on thigh-twist.

Why that is so no idea.

I loaded a G9 dress, that neither have weights on thigh bend, all weights are on the 2 twist bones, so it must be so they have designed G9, though I don't really understand why.
