Mark products with a generation tack

Is there a script or product that make it possible to mark prop thumbnails like cloth and hair with a genesis generation tack (like 1,2,3,8,9) ?

Until now I always must open the info tab, to see if I choose the right prob for the figure.

Yeah I know, I can choose the filter by contex check mark, but even than there may show up more than one version of the prop. (see attachment)

It would be cool to add the right generation number to existing thumbnails, that would make the workflow much faster.

You could use groups, but remember that instaling an update will put the product in the new group a gain by default (a product or file can belong to oly one group, which may be an issue for multi-figure props). You can also use tags, which can easily be filtered (just click on a tag to use it as a filter) by and stored in the filter library (the maginifying glass icon next to the filter text box).

Mhh, but would it be possible to use a skript which add a number to a existing thumbnail?

Well, it might - but if you modify the thumbnail itself (all the tags you see are overlays on top of the base thumbnail image) then any update would revert it, and unblike puttin it back in new there would be no way to override the behaviour (short of making the thumbnail read-only, which might cause oither issues).
