[Solved] How to prevent an object from moving when parented or un-parented to another one ?
Hello,
I have the a scene (a figure doing wind surf) and depending on the computer I'm opening it, the parenting behaviour will be different: on one computer, if I'm parenting the figure to the wind surf, the figure will stay in place, which is the usual behaviour as far as I remember.
On another computer, on the other hand, the figure will move and be scaled down when I'm parenting that figure to the wind surf.
I likely have activated something on the second computer, but I have no idea what and how I did it.
How can I prevent a figure from moving or being scaled down or up when I'm parenting that figure to another object ?

Make sure Parent In Place is on - it's a checkbox in the Change Parent dialogue or a checkable menu item in the Scene pane option menu if you parent by drag-and-drop only; both are the same setting, just use the one that fits your workflow.
I can't test right now, but it's likely to be that: I watched a video by Daz about Genesis 9 Hand Anchors and it said to uncheck 'Parent in Place'. Thank you :)
It was that and checking it again solved the problem.
Thank you again :)
