How do I load a customized character with props on another pc without redoing everything

Hi everyone, I use Daz Studio on two computers, and I customised a character on Computer A. The character came from a Daz package that includes the figure and some props (like a sword and shield), but those props aren’t automatically attached to the character , I had to manually parent and position them. Once I had everything looking good, I saved it all as a scene subset so I could just load the full setup quickly in new projects.

Now here’s the part I’m stuck on: I want to use that same customized character with the attached props on Computer B. I can install the same original asset packages on Computer B , that’s not the problem. The issue is that I don’t want to go through the whole process of reattaching and repositioning the props again. I want to open the scene subset on Computer B and have it work just like it does on Computer A.

Is it enough to just install the same assets on Computer B and copy over the scene subset file? Or is there a better method , like a way to export or package a scene with all the linked files and props already in place, so I can drop it into the right folder and it just works?

I would think that the best is to save a persona preset, and then load that on the other computer.

You should be able to open the saved scene subset on any computer and have everything be the same, assuming it has all the same assets. The save file has all the positional information. I do this all the time, with full scenes to render on other machines or subsets.

If the assets are all just from Daz store, it should load automatically. If you have custom assets like textures the other computer cant find, it will prompt you to locate them manually first.
