Why doesn’t Ctrl+Z undo Convert to SubD in Daz?

hey guys, I used Edit > Figure > Geometry > Convert to SubD on an object in Daz Studio. Now I want to undo it, but Ctrl+Z doesn’t undo that action . It undoes other stuff, just not this. Why? And is there any way to revert it?

It changes the geoemtry in a way that cannot (reasonably, at least) be undone. It used to give a pop-up warning saying this action cannot be undone, as I recall, but that seems to have gone now.

You can select the item and go to Parametes pane and set the Mesh Resolution back to Base. That doesn't really "undo" SubD, but it prevents the subdivision from being used.

  • Thanks guys for your answer. Yep I ended up modifying the setting from the parameters tab as suggested by @barbult
