Why does the align button not appear in the joint editor and what does the end point do

Hi guys, Iwhen I go into joint editor mode I see two gysmos one red and one green I think the green one is the center point and the red one is the end point but I do not understand what the end point really does

in this example you can see what I mean when I talk about their positions and the shape they form and in my second example you can see the tool settings panel where I can control some parameters

I watched a YouTube tutorial where the guy moves the end point and clicks a button called align which aligns the axis from green to red here is the link with exact location i refer to  ....  but in my version of Daz Studio which is the latest one I do not see that align button like you see in his video

so my first question is what is the purpose of the end point and second why is the align button missing in the latest version of Daz Studio

That's a pretty old video - sixteen years. The Align commands are in their own sub-menu of the right-click menu with the Joint Editor active
