Anatomical Elements Frustration
Ugh! I am so sick of Daz Studio. Who hard codes menus with tiny font? I shouldn't need to use the magnifier tool to use the program.
Nevermind that though. I'm trying to do a proof of concept for using Daz Studio for a visual novel dating simulator game. In order to do that, I have to prove that I'm able to render male anatomical elements. I've spent over a hundred dollars in the store, which as far as I can tell is non-refundable, and I still can't get it to show up properly. Here are the things I've purchased:
T3d Theo Genesis 9 Masculine, Genesis 9 Starter Essentials Expansion, CGI Secret Details for Genesis 9 Masculine and Merchant Resources, CGI Secret Materials for Genesis 9 & Merchant Resources, dForce Hairy Man for Genesis 9, AJC College Times Outfit for Genesis 8 and 8.1 Males, Jepe's Roderick for Diego 8.
I've managed to apply Genesis 9 Anatomical Elements Male to my T3d Theo Genesis 9 actor, but they don't come with texture. The texture I bought for Genesis 9 Anatomical Elements, CGI Secret Materials for Genesis 9, was downloaded, but not imported into my content library, and I apparently don't know how to make use of it. I have found a set of textures that can be applied, but don't actually cover the entire mesh, and don't end up resembling the associated icon image at all. They were stored under Smart Content / Materials / Masculine / Jepe's Roderick for Diego 8 / Genitalia. Aparently Roderick is useless to me because I don't have an adult male pro bundle for Genesis 8, which doesn't seem to exist in the shop anymore. Theo is supposed to include both the mesh and the texture for his Genesis 9 Anatomical Elements, as they are pictured on the product page, but it doesn't seem to include either. Again, none of these purchases seem to be refundable.
Also, no tutorials seem to cover this. This is the most frustrating user experience I can remmber having, and I've used MACs before.

This was a limitation of the Qt aplication framework. The daz Studio 2025/6 version, currently in alpha, has a newer version of the application framework so we may hope it will be possible to add UI scaling there.
Within 30 days of purchase you can request a refund via a Sales support ticket - the zendesk system doesn't reliably pick up store logins, so click the Login/signin button before making up the ticket.
Tjis https://www.daz3d.com/t3d-theo-genesis-9-masculine ? It lists support for the Anatomical Elements, but if you load the character preset and then the Anatomical Elements the materials won't auto-aply - you will need to either reapply the base materials or apply one of the specific "gens" materials (it depends how the character is set up). The readme will tell you where the files are, depending on which content pane you are using http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/107470/start
https://www.daz3d.com/cgi-secret-materials-for-genesis-9-merchant-resources is a merchant resource - it has textures designed to be applied via an image editor in content creation, it doesn't have user-facing files (though you might be able to use it via the Layered Image Editor)
Genesis 8 is a previous version of the figure, in Genesis 8 Starter Essentials (which is part of the fre DS content) but to get the Anatomical Elements for Genesis 8/8.1 you will need to purchase one of the adult male Pro bundles or character bundles that includes them (they are a separate product, be wary of characters that include textures but not the models)
The mesh is shown so you can see the result, it isn't included - but you have the Genesis 9 Elements, see above.

That's exciting. I look forward to that. Also, thank you for your prompt reply.

Yes, thank you. I have since discovered where / how to request a refund.

Yes. That's the one. I keep seeing mentions of readme files, but as far as I can tell, they don't exist. I've looked over the pages for the products I've purchased. I've looked over what is downloaded when I install them, but I've never found a readme page.
Nevermind the readme file though. I did it! I figured out how to apply the Genesis 9 male anatomical elements mesh, and I found the textures to apply to it. They were hidden in the stupid content library under Michael 9 HD. I don't see how you're supposed to find them in the smart content library, but I suppose as long as I can find them. . . Thanks again for your help, and your prompt response. = )
If you use Install Manager you can get the readme by clicking the i icon after the product name. In Daz Studio it is More information in the right-click menu for the product container, or just a regular click on the thumbnail at top-left if you are inside the product in Smart Content. You can also bookmark any readme and just replace the SKU with the one for the product you want, which is my most common method - .http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/8037/start 8037 being the SKU that needs to be replaced with the number from the product page.
