Anybody got my George Pal War Machine?
Did anybody here ever download my George Pal 1953 "War of the Worlds" War Machine from ShareCG, specifically the Poser version with the "easy-pose" heat ray element?
I got a private message from somebody actually wanting it. While I can readily package a new zip file, I want the vintage compressed file more for the "read-me" document.

I have a whole big folder full of downloaded freebies. Do you happen to know the name of the zip file that I could search for?
Not specifically, but try...
*warmachine*.zip
Be sure to use the asterick symbols as they function as "wildcards", at least in a windows based OS. I uploaded two versions, one geared specifically for Poser, the other being a universal .OBJ file. That latter one is a static mesh, no rigged elements.
Is this it?
Ah, no. That's a DAZ product. I don't think they'd appreciate an item for sale being freely shared.
As I stated in my originsal post, mine is based upon the miniatures depicted in the 1953 Paramount film produced by George Pal, this thing...
...designed by Al Nazaki, taking inspiration from the manta ray.
I'm sure I did, but my exodrive with all umpteen gB of backups bit the dust last month. Only salvaged one (very-important-to-me, and Nearly Completed) WIP project before it stopped responding altogether. Sorry.
bwldrd at Renderosity was able to dig up the zip and send it to me.
The issue has been resolved.
For anybody who wants it, the '53 "fighting machine" is once again available.

LOL I remember that movie and the tv series that came after it.
That looks like a great tribute to an outstanding design! I always did like the 50's Martian war machine.
But what's the fighting machine without the Martian itself? I've re-uploaded him (she? it? them?) as well!

I saw that. Will check it out. Thanks!
