Simulate not working for dforce capes in 4.24

I'm doing the same thing that I did in 4.23 which allowed the cape to hang flat but it's not happening in 4.24
Is there a work around or some way to go back to 4.23? Sadly, I did not save a copy.

Is it any simulations that fail?
And if not which cape?
All simulations are failing but not producing any failure messages in the log.
It simulates but the cape is not hanging straight down like it did in 4.23
If you go to the Advanced panel in the Simulation pane, what is then listed as OpenCL device?
Edit to add: after I read Richards I realised that you said it did simulate. What is the Gravity set to?
If it simulates a bit then it may just need longer, though I don't know why that would change (but if you are loading content into a new scene then it is possible that the Simulation Settings differ).
these are the settings ...
These settings caused the cape to drape down when run in 4.23 but in 4.24 the cape is still floating in the air
And if you create a plane, apply dForce modifier to it, and move it up and simulate.
Does it then also hang in mid air?
I'm not sure if I know how to do that. I'll experiment this week-end.
I have a set of free capes and brooches for G8F you're welcome to try and see if they behave any better/differently

off topic but I wanted to thank you for all the great freebies. I've been using anumber of them a lot recently.
also, if you run out of themes or project ideas how about Dejah Thoris type pasties, bottoms, and shoes :)
Thank you :) for all the great freebies Squishy!
That's very kind, please enjoy :)
