Moving figures around in my environment for composition in my render?

Hello I'm new to DS but have worked in Poser since 2009.
How do I move my figure to a new position in my environment? I hve been working in Poser since 2009 & it has dials so I can move my figures around to get the lkook I want my render to have. When
I load my figure into DS it just stayes in the same place where it loads & I haven't figured out a way to move it around. I can move my environment around & the figure moves with it but stays in the same place
where it loaded to.

If the figure is selected in the "scene" tab, you should be able to click the translate tool (looks like a + with arrors on each end with a mouse pointer icon) and drag the figure around.
You can also go to the "parameters" tab with the figure selected, select transforms under general, and use the X, Y, and Z translate sliders to move the figure.
