Soft probe Iray lighting and eye reflections

Hoping somebody may have experience with this. I have a couple of iray soft probe lighting sets (free and purchased), and I do love the lighting effects they produce. Trouble is they seem to mess with the eye surface, which renders blurry and semi-opaque. I've tried adding additional portrait style lights to counteract the effect, but no dice. With the real world HDRIs this is not a problem, but they are not necessarily the effect I'm after. Any advice on getting clear eyes with soft probe lighting? Thanks.

Could be a few different things. Is it a Genesis 2 figure? If so, are the shaders for all of the eye surfaces set for Iray? If so, try setting the cutout opacity of the Eye Reflection surface to zero.
If you manually applied the Iray Uber Base to the eye surfaces, what's the IOR for the cornea? I usually apply the Iray Thin Glass shader preset to the cornea, then adjust the IOR manually down to 1.37.
On my IPad, so can't edit my previous post. Most of what I said would apply to any figure where the shaders were originally 3DL-based, not just Gen2.
No these are Daz G3 characters, with iray default mats, and my own characters, with 'water thin' iray option for cornea and eye moisture. Regardless the eyes look wrong with soft probe lighting.
Can you post a screenshot and maybe a link to one of the free HDRIs? I'd be happy to test to see if I get the same results.
