Help! Could someone explain

So I am not the best when 1.explaining things 2.understanding things 3 NOT the best at tech
I just bought a new pc I did some research into what to buy (kind of) like I explained above. I did ask the guy from PC specilist to build it for me for DAZ Studio
So my pc has the
i9 24 core processor (up to 6.00 GHz) 36mb of cache
32gb GEFORCE RTX 5090 GAMING OC
192GB Crosair VENGEANCE DDR5 5200MHz
Yet when setting my scenes up still lags? What is happening? I thought it would fly through that I am soley dissappointed as I have had to take on extra work to pay for this machine
Please be gentle with me & my knowledge ;)

RTX 5090 doesn't work for Iray rendering in DS4, only in DS2025.
Yes I got the ALPHA build for it :) I am more concerned about why it feels like its running out of memory when I build a scene this was my concern with the old pc is that the lag in studio when adding things into a scene (not much in the scene at all too) should it be this bad with what I have now? I go back into the DAZ 4.24 to build scenes then take them into ALPHA build to render and it seems even worse in that studio to build a scene :C
People are getting mixed experience with Viewport performance, it isn't clear what is hgappening 9though for me it gets weird if the viewpoint is far from the centre of the "world").
Yes I am confused about this one, Rendering is ok its just the viewport lag for me I would expect if there was tons of models in there buildings and I know grass and hair etc. but even a simple build with one model seems to lag I didn't expect it to be so and waited a long time for this :C sorry to complain
Do you get lag even if the camera is close to the single item in the scene, and that is plonked in the middll of the stage where the stronger X and Z lines cross on the floor grid (assuming that is showing)?
Yes its a struggle to set up a scene but...I now truly belive its this pc build for the specs it isn't running like it should even with other games! last night it gage stuck on 77c on my graphics temp pc completly froze thats with me being away from it for hours & nothing running so my guess is this build sadly! I been on the phone to them I don't know how many times as I have some knowledge as you pick along the way using DAZ & other gaming that I knew it isn't running right I haven't had it a week yet :C It should be running like a dream in viewport now yet I am forums looking for answers already this shouldn't be the case I am paying a LOT of money for it only to be looking for answers to a question I shouldn't be asking! Thankyou for time though x
Don't give up. We're still working with an Alpha version of DAZ Studio 2025. We're not sure when the final version will be ready.
But when it arrives, you'll reap the benefits of your investment.
The 50x cards are relatively new so it is expected that drivers may not work fine with all applications or games. As for the viewport lag it is experienced by many users, but DS6 is alpha so again it is expected to have issues. You PC specs are good and there's nothing wrong, what you're experiencing is normal for first adopters. May be your "PC specialist guy" should change your card with a 40x which is more reliable, or wait until 50x is better supported.
p.s. Also the 5090 takes about 580W, so not ideal for daily long sessions or night rendering anyway, unless you have a hell of a cooler and are prepared for the bills.
Thankyou I understand but there is a motherboard problem with my pc so its being sent back not sure if that would effect the viewport but... knew something was not right!
There is a problem with my motherboard so its being sent back. I haven't had it a week and paid a small fortune for it but I kind of didn't put all my hopes up and left the most of the film etc. on the side I have luck like 'final destination' lol so I am heartbroken but also expected it I am not walking into the sea just yet just at the edge ;)
Marie, you have my sympathy. Hopefully they'll have that computer fixed quickly.
Good luck with your computer and just as a hint for others who experience viewport lag and stumble over this thread: Always check the headlamp setting, it can lead to heavy viewport lag in iray preview if it's turned on.
