RTX 5060 Ti 16GB GDDR7 OC Edition
Has anyone used this card with DAZ Studio 4.24? I am presently running a RTX 4060 ti 16 gig with a 12th Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-14900KF 3.20 GHz,128 gigs RAM. If so would it improve rendering times for animations? Cheers

50 series are not supported in 4.xx.

The 50 series GPUs dont work with studio 4.24. You need Daz Studio 2025 ALPHA for 50 series support. But keep in mind, your pluggins will not work in the new alpha Daz version until they get updated (if they get updated)
ok. Many thanks I will stick with what I have for the time being! Cheers
Don't expect any miracles anyway, the 5060ti is not that much faster than a 4060ti, around 20% in 3D rendering and you do not get any more memory, 4060ti->5060ti is a waste of money I would say
I am thinking of upgrading to a 5060ti but I am moving from a 2080ti. I will gain an extra 5gb of faster vram as well as more modern cuda cores. For me it is the biggest bang for buck I can find - the higher end 50 series are just too far above msrp to consider.
I will keep the 2080ti as a seconday card for using with Daz 4.24.
Any feedback if this sounds like a reasonable idea appreciated.

What are you talking about?! I just bought one and it has 16GB of VRAM... that's DOUBLE what a 4060TI has which makes a HUGE difference!
Guess I won't be rendering with DAZ for a while. No loss.
I don't think it's too unreasonable, especially considering that the 5060TI with 16G of VRAM is available (I just bought one), that's double what the 4060TI has and more than the 2080TI has. When it comes to rendering with Daz, VRAM is king.
Daz will update their software. I'll be taking a break from Daz until they do as I am not switching back. They need to keep up or their software will fade. Newer games require much more VRAM any more and people will continue to upgrade, so I can't see this being an issue, aside from waiting for support.
Be very wary of negative replies in here.
I just grabbed the latest Daz Studio Alpha version (https://www.daz3d.com/blog/daz-studio-2025-alpha-release) and I rendered a nice image of a character I have been working on, using my RTX 5060TI with 16G of VRAM... no problem. (see attached image)
It is Alpha, but it does work, and if it should crash, great, than I will be helping them improve it. But support already exists and it works. The above link tells you how to download it.
It's a bit more complicated than just "Card A is better than card B".
The alpha has a massive problem that many of us can't work around, incompatiblity with scripts and plug-ins.
In my rather limited testing thus far, the impact to my workflow was rather significant switching back to the regular way certain things are done in studio.
I haven't done enough testing to get an idea what else might be broken, or what assets i won't be able to use, so in my case, no way i'm going to use the alpha for daily use.
Before you pull the trigger, check if any of your scripts or plugins that you rely on aren't working in the alpha.
I'd also suggest checking for benchmark results. What i'm finding, if you're going for 50 series, and have the budget, get the 5070TI, it's just under double the price of the 5060ti, and some benchmarks are showing at just under double the performance. Newegg, U.S. pricing.
Some bechmarks are showing certain 30 and 40 series to be more performant than the 5060ti for rendering.
Just my two cents.

No wonder my new RTX5060Ti is barely being used during renders. Still, my games no longer skip frames. And I still have a 12-core Ryzen 9 to pick up the rendering slack.
