Why can't grouped items be shown or hidden simultaneously

Hello artists I often group some items or characters together and then hide or show them all at once. However, I have also noticed that sometimes the hide operation for the entire group does not work, and the items and characters within this group are not hidden. I have to manually hide each item and character.

    ctrl+click on the visibility button

e: this may not do exactly what you want in every situation, because it actually forces visibility on/off for everything from that point down in the hierarchy, but if you don't need to have mixed visibility states it will do it.

Thank you. When I get off work, I'll give it a try. But I still have a bit of concern about why this problem occurred. Was it because of my operation or settings that some steps were missed? Or could it be that the program itself has such a bug? Or perhaps some of the settings for the sub-items have a higher execution priority than the parent items?

If the root of the group if a 'null', hidding the 'null' will not hide anything parented to that 'null' (only the null itself will be hidden) and the 'null' icon is really close to the one use for a real 'group' so it's easy to make the mistake of thinking it's a real 'group'.

    An example:

Despite what the name 'Awesome Group 1' implies, it's a 'null', so hiding it doesn't change the visibility of the character parented to it. 'Awesome Group 2' is really a 'group', so hidding it will hide anything parented to it.

A third way to group items is by parenting them to another item (like it's done with clothing and Genesis figures) and like with a null, hidding the item everything else is parented too will not hide the items parented to it, but I don't think it was the case you had in mind.
