What's The Size Limit For Gallery Header Images ? <-- What the title says.
Edited to add question to body of post.
Answer: 960x400 (if you upload a larger image it's automatically scaled widthwise to 960, maintaining its original aspect ratio, and then cropped heightwise about the centre to 400 if it's taller)
Seems to me that it would be useful to have that info on the page where you upload the header image?

Copying and pasting from title to body would be quicker than typing "What the title says", and is more useful to readers.
Do you mean the thumbnail for the gallery? I thought that was auto-generated from the main image.
Quicker too ! ;o)
No, I mean the header image under "Settings for <whatever> gallery"
We were originally told it was 960 x 400
It doesn't seem to like 960x400 - although it gives a green tick after uploading, when I click Save Settings it comes up with the orange "Not Saved" message
Strange I checked the image info on mine, and it is indeed 960 x 400.
DAZ_ann0314 may know more. She is in charge of the Gallery.
I'll just double-check that...
...okay, the orange "Not saved" message is a lie. The header was saved. And it is 960x400. The filename's "<uploadedfilename>_960_auto_header.jpg" which is a clue.
Seems like if you upload a bigger image it's scaled to 960 width (aspect ratio maintained), centred heightwise, and cropped to 400height based around the centre.
Support Request 213892 raised (size limit should be specified/spurious and incorrect "Not Saved" message)
