Night Bar by Polish - How Quick/Slow does it render?

Hi guys,

I'm really tempted by the Night Bar by Polish which is in Fast Grab at the moment, but experience tells me that it could be one of those sets that takes a tonne of memory to load and several hours to render. Does anyone have any experience with it? Could you tell me how well DS and Iray cope with it please?

Thanks.

    It is pretty good:

According Sin Tenereos new Memory Util i have 1300 MB VRAM left on a 970

Rendertimes are reasonable for a set this complex: currently at 10% convergence in full HD on 2x970s 1x730 after 10 Minutes

    And it looks nice!

Cool, thanks Renomista! Much appreciated laugh.

So does that mean its using up all the memory from one 970 plus all but 1300 MB of memory from the other 970? I've only got 1x 970, so I'm wondering if my PC might struggle...

no VRAM does not add up you can only use as much as GPU in use with the lowest VRAM has. All three have 4GB waht means around 3300 MB Usable i belive

so i would think that it uses around 2 GB maybe less if there is some general overhead i still have not detected (The Utilil is only out since yesterday)

Update: Full rendering to 95% convergence took 2 hours 9 Minutes with 13153 Iterations.

Thats not quick but it is not unreasonable given complexity / light setup etc...

    Result is Attached.

Just loaded Full Scene selected included Camera and pressed Render.

You probably don't need the entire scene loaded anyway. wink

Of course not, depends on the Camera Angle, But what easier that way.

But I think this Out of the Box result is pretty nice...
