data- file corrupted

Hi, this became super annoying, for I'm struggeling with this for years now, and I cannot solve it.
I have saved a scene file. Nothing special, but the problem is, as I delete it, the basicGenesis 8 Female file loaded with an error message, that this (deleted) file is missing.

Somewhere must be a reference hidden my morph assets, but I just can't find it.
Are there any advanced tools or methodes to track down that scene file reference?

  • Check the log file, it should contain which file is requesting the missing file.

Did you use anything from File>Save As>Support Assets or just a regular scene save?

I know which file is missing. I just don't know, where in all the *.dsf data files, it demands for that scene file.

Yes, I always use at a regular basis, for creating my morph targets. I know, that sometimes it's possible to have a scene file as a reference, instead of a figure file.
This can all happen by mistake. I'd just like to know, how to track down those mistakes. The log file only tells me, that a file is missing. It doesn't tell me where exactly, the requirement for this file is located.

Uncompress the file, using the Batch Convert pane or soemthing like 7Zip, open in a text editor, and search for the file name (remembering to replace spaces  with %20 and so on in the name).

yup, did that with the basic Genesis 8 Female.dsf and several character dsf's.
    EDIT:
I did that search on the basic Genesis 8 Female dsf and *.duf files. No results.
With every character morph installed, this would take a lot of time.
So is there no short cut for finding this corruoting file reference?
    UPDATE:
with notepad  ++ , I did a search on that file with all open files.
0 results out of 198 open *.dsf files.

Try deleting the DSON Cache (Edit>Preferences) though I wouldn't expect that to help.
