daz studio user interface questions / suggestions
Two longstandin annoyances of mine when using any version of daz studio:
(1) I want to be able to reize panes to an arbitrary width. DS stuborrnly refuses to make panes fully adjustable. I want to be able to make the pane widths smaller (more narrow) than their hard-coded limits.
(2) The text in some panes, windows, and controls is very low contrast and quite hard to read. I want to change the font colors in such panes. But it appears that it is not possible in the DS 4.2x series of UIs.
Are these 2 things not changeable or do I simply not know how to do them? If you know, please let me know.
Thank you!

What style are you using?
Thank you, Macbeth's ghost. It is Darkside. I see no way to change the minimum width for the panes. I do see the Base colors in the "customize Interface style" pane. Buth nothing on fonts or font colors.
Okay, you might be limited on the width but you can change the font colors (though it is controlled by the accent color). Good luck
I have trouble seeing the letters myself so I adjusted Darkside periodically. Currently I am trying out this variation that I am attaching the images of what it looks like in use and what it looks like on the 'Customize Interface Style' screen so you can see what fields change what. I highly recommend you do a screen shot of what you have before you change anything. Also, in the Daz Studio 2025 thread Richard Hazeltine noted he 'muted' the highlight colors that are neon down as that was easier on his eyes. I haven't done that yet on my DS 4.24.0.3. but I did do it on the new DS 2025 and it helped the dazzle effect. Be sure to save your selection if you like it with a name unique to you so you can go back to it. It takes a lot of tries to balance Dark Color with Foreground Color and the other colors.
Thank you for your suggestions MacBeth and McNeil! I will try yours out, ME.
