Performance issue while "Applying animations"
I've been testing some stuff I picked up recently and started noticing that at some point, Daz has started to take a weirdly long time to apply a simple pose. This log excerpt suggests why:

This is applying a simple pose with no props or "go-to" elements to a G9 character that - so far as I know - is just a stock G9 figure with a few morphs. (I have tested a bunch of random products on it, though, so it's possible there's some part of something left that I didn't realize that is causing this behavior.)
I never use animations. I certainly don't need Daz to waste three minutes of my limited Daz time "applying animations" that I will never use, everytime I test a pose.
ETA: Further testing since I've noticed this problem shows that the issue seems to be with some pose sets and not others. I just tested a pose that took 3 seconds in the "Applying animations" stage, though three other pose sets I'd tested since I made the original post had the same problem. I tested deleting the clothing and hair that I had on the figure and found that of everything, deleting the G9 vellus made the most difference, cutting that "Applying animations" time in around a half. I also tested a stock G9 figure - which threw a bunch of "Animation Property not found" warnings, referencing what look like expressions - and a random commercial character, which took about as long as my original figure without vellus.

Bumping this ... I'm running into more pose sets that are like this. Anyone know how to tell if there's any sort of animation set, or if there's some setting somewhere to keep it from doing this by default? This is happening in a recently created scene that contains one G9 character, a single garment and a hair. I'm just testing poses.
Your DS version? Which Pose or animation product ?
Pose / animation with Pose Control properties takes more time to be applied in older DS versions before 4.23.
Even a pose at frame 0 is stored in the Animation block of the .duf file - see http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/dson_spec/object_definitions/scene/start . This is not new, I remember its being that way when the spec was first published.
