Daz3d crashes while moving G8m with beard #SOLVED#

Hi everyone,
I'm encountering a recurring crash issue and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this:

When I fit a beard to a Genesis 8 Male figure (especially beards with complex strand-based structures), DAZ Studio crashes almost immediately after moving or rotating the figure.
This happens consistently, not just with a specific asset.
I first noticed it with "Stranded Whiskers for Genesis 8 Males", but after further testing, it occurs with several other beard assets as well.

When I parent the beard to the head instead of using "Fit To", the crashes don't happen — but the beard doesn't deform properly with facial expressions, of course.

Crash logs show an ACCESS_VIOLATION in dzcore.dll, particularly during skin binding and deformation processes.

I'm running a clean install of the latest DAZ Studio version on high-end hardware, so system limitations aren't the cause.

Has anyone else run into similar crashes with beards on Genesis 8 Male?
Or maybe found a workaround or setting that helps?

Thanks a lot in advance for any help or advice!

What version of DS are you using, General release or 2025 Alpha? What GPU and driver version number do you have? How much system RAM do you have? Can you post a .txt file of your log so we can see at what point what's going on?

If anyone else is experiencing the same issues, like constant DAZ3D crashes, and you're using a 13700K / 13900 or one of the 14000 series Intel CPUs, the cause might be that your motherboard's overclocking profile is enabled. In my case, as soon as I switched to the Intel default profile (along with BIOS updates for the microcode), everything has been running stable again since then.
