So I did get the DIM to install to my external but...I guess I was not paying attention and cliked ok and it desiced to install Daz to my main drive.

I dint see an option to swap the 'install to' from the DIM....How do I find that...and is it ok to just un in stall eveything to do it again in the right spot?

Ok I figured out how to un install Daz but....and I just put the DIM on my main drive (it's not very big) but....how do I tell it to install to my external?

All I want is my Daz and all my stuff on my external drive so it wont eat up my main HD.

I'm so confused....

I'm sorry :(

Open DIM, in the upper right corner select the gear and click on "Advanced Settings". Once hte new window opens click on the "Downloads" tab and in the first section change the location of the downloads to whatever secondary drive you want, if your saving your zips as a backup. Then click on the "Installation" tab and in the bottom left click on the plus and change the location to the secondary drive you want the content installed to. When you go to install your content be sure to click on the box to show details in the bottom right corner. Once that opens click on the drop-down and select the location you selected to install your content. Be sure to add that new content location in Daz Studio.

  • Thank you so much! heartheartheart

  • Oh umm...one last question...I have to name folderns in my other drive right? it wont just make the folders for me?

When you installed Daz Studio it created those folders already. Take that folder it created and move it to your secondary drive and then in DIM and Daz Studio point them to that folder using the above spets for DIM. Sorry I didn't think of that when I posted the first time.

It's ok, and I thank you again for your help.

It's been so from when I use to use Daz regularly that all the changes are...well there are a lot. I love the DIM so much tho. I rember when we had to manual install....everything....one...by one...O_O
