Carrara 8.1.1.12 Can't import anything on Mac

Hi all,

I'm from the past and I really like modelling in Carrara on the mac as it's super quick to visualise things. For several months importing objects has no longer been working which slows down my workflow drastically. Does anyone have a fix for this or knows if the same problem occurs in Carrara 8.5 pro?

I know Carrara is pretty much abandonware now and I ought to be modeling with something else but it's just so quick and simple to use for my purposes.

Any info gratefully received.
