Daz Connect

While Daz Connect may be great for Daz, but not so for the user. Nobody seems to be concerned about what happens if one has a computer crash that wipes out all their data or encounters a corrupt file. In the past with all the methods of downloading items used by Daz I have always kept a backup copy so if there is a problem I can easily re-install that item. Now it seems that Daz Connect will become the norm and I will no longer be able to download & save the full item file, instead it will only be installed on my computer, so if I lose my data for whatever reason I have to download it again. This is OK for the odd model but when, as in my case, it amounts to hundreds of gigabytes then it is a costly & time consuming exercise...My monthly download account would be blown and would result in taking months to complete a full download....Also when travelling I use Daz on a laptop, often where there is no internet connection, so does this mean I cannot access my Daz data??...Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    1) You can download offline install files from your Product Library so you will have a vckup if you need to reinstall.

    2) You don't need to be online to use the files -- you need to get online once to identify the computer with your account.  You can use the content without being online.
