Is there a way to increase the range limit of smart content category folders?

I'm pretty sure that some of you have very extensive libraries and therefore must have run into this issue. Recently, I've moved to using Smart Content to organize my libraries to make it easier to browse assests, including third party products. However, some of even the sub-catrgory folders now contain over 1200 items, which seems to be the range limit on viewable item in a category. Is there a way to increase this limit so that I can see all the items in a (sub)folder?
