Keeping geoshell maps when unparented?

Greetings,

I have a geograft parented to G9. The geograft comes with a geoshell on which i can load some maps. When i unparent the geograft, the geoshell loses every map, and when i reparent the geograft to the G9 figure i have to reload the maps on it.

I would like to know if this is the intended behavior of geoshells, and if there's a way to make them mantain the maps loaded before the unparenting.

Thank You in advance!

You probably meant fitted rather than parented ...?

Unfitting a geo-graft removes the surfaces related to the geo-graft on any geo-shells of the Genesis figure, that's why you lost all surfaces settings on the geo-shell(s) and had to re-apply the Material Presetls... However, unparenting geo-grafts doesn't have this behavior.

That's a by-design feature, I'm afraid you have no way to prevent it if go for unfitting a geograft (undo doesn't help either...)  But I'm out of curiosity why you had to unfit the geo-graft ?

Thank You @crosswind! Yes i meant fitted, sorry!

It's dumb, but i have a Lucifer-like character (like in the TV series) with some horns and some sort of hellish skin scales, or whatever, and i thought it would have been easier to just unfit the geografts and hide them when i want the character to appear normal, without the clothes looking funny due to the scales underneath LOL!

Just for easily switch the appearances without loading a different scene every time ;-)

Ah, got it ~ So, better save Scene Subsets or Persona Presets separately for Lucifer and his normal version or a Wearable Preset for geo-grafts + geo-shells ~ devil
