Trying to Modify a Skin
I wanna add a Tattoo to a character. I went to Gimp and got the tattoo on the torso skin but it's never perfect. Is there an easier way? Is there maybe a skin template that contains lines for us to guide ourselves (because the character skins are a bit confusing and hard to navigate on Gimp)

You could, if the area you want tattooed is relatively flat, try using an Iray Decal node to project the tattoo onto the figure (Create menu). Otherwise, especialy if you are trying to cross a seam area, you probably need to use a 3D painting tool - Blender should be adequate.
There is also a way to use the LIE (Layered Image Editor) to do this inside DAZ. It would make fine tuning placement a lot easier if you can shift the tatoo on the skin, place the altered skin on your character, and then see inside DAZ what has happened. This might take a lot of fine tuning and trial and error. As Richard H says, if you are crossing a seam you'll have problems so try to avoid. But once you have the LIE image you have created where you have your tattoo placed to your taste, you can pull the temp file for the altered skin, place it somewhere else, rename it, and keep it for later use. I have a folder labeled "Outside Textures" in either the Content of Runtime folder (runtime with the 4.x daz) where I keep these altered skins. I am sure there are tutorials, maybe on youtube, showing you how to use the LIE system. I find it very useful for creating new skins.
