M2 to M4 rendering

With the advent of native Mac rendering I was wondering if there's anyone with M2 versus M4? I've been really surprised how my 2-3 year old laptop is able to make pretty good renders in 30ish minutes, but also how it'll get laggy when arranging complex scenes.

I'm thinking about trading my M2 MacBook Pro in for a M4 mini but wasn't sure if I'd just be getting a 8% boots for several hundred dollars.

Has it actually been posted anywhere that DAZ Studio 5/Next/Whatever will definitely have native Mac rendering? The last I saw posted regarding that was that they were going to *try* but that it wasn't a given...almost four years ago. Since then, I think the only semi-official note was that the major upgrade would "use Metal" but that's doable without an application being Apple Silicon-native.
