Smart Content Not Working After Moving DAZ Library to D:\ Drive – PostgreSQL Issue?
Hi everyone,
I recently moved my DAZ content library to my D:\ drive, and now my Smart Content isn’t working properly. DIM works fine, and I can still access my products manually from the D:\ drive, but Smart Content no longer organizes or displays them correctly.
I suspect it might be a PostgreSQL CMS issue, but I’m not sure how to fix it. I’ve tried:
- Restarting DAZ Studio and my PC
- Clearing the queue in DIM
- Checking log files for errors
- Ensuring DAZ Studio is allowed in my firewall/antivirus settings
Has anyone else run into this after moving their content library? Any advice on how to get Smart Content working again? Thanks in advance!

You may need to describe the issue in a bit more detail, perhaps with screenshots showing what the problem is. Other than the BasePaths the CMS data uses relative paths rather than absolute paths and so providing you have removed the old library path(s) and added the new one(s) I think it should still work.
If you are confident that everything is correctly linked under Content Library and you cannot see any other issues then you can try reimporting the metadata. Click the corner menu under Smart Content tab, select "Content DB Maintenance", Check "Re-Import Metadata" and click accept. The next window should show all products from your correctly-mapped basepaths pre-checked - if all looks good click continue and then wait while the data is reimported.
Did you move the database? Is the content actually loading through the Content Library pane? Do the files in the Content Library pane have any tags, like content type (Actor, Wardrobe, Materials etc.) or the New status?
