Daz studio freezes after cancelling a render

Sometimes when i cancel a render it just freezes and says daz studio not responding, im unable to save it from the render window and cant even go to save last render because id have to close the whole studio. Is there any way to save my work? this only happens when i do 4k renders and still rare but really annoying when it happens

How long are you waiting? It is waiting for Iray to release the last tracing operation before it can actually close, and while it is doing that it isn't processing the event queue - with luck it will finish and then it will be back to responding.
