Object Geometry is displaced
I have a prop whose translation values is 0,0,0. But the actual position of the object is 400,-10,-3332. Is there a way to permanently fix it's location to 0,0,0. I could put it in a group and position the group at -400,10, 3332. But that doesn't make moving it around any easier. When I see 0, 0, 0 in the parameters panel, I want it actually be at 0,0,0.
Solutions involving external 3D programs while appreciated also are not helpful.

If the item is modelled off centre then it will be off centre when its transforms are zeroed - usually this is because it was made to fit into a larger set. For a static item put it in the middle of the scene, export as OBJ, reimport, and reapply materials.
