Fly Me Away! (AKA an airport would be lovely)

We've got Airport Island, of course. It's quite comprehensive, but it's also quite glitzy and fancy- much fancier than the more boring airports I usually pass through.

The other site has "Airport Terminal for Daz" which also looks pretty nice (don't own it myself), but it reminds me more of a small regional airport like Scranton.

Bituka3D has Gate 67 ready for the zombie apocalypse, but it's not really meant for living humans.

What I'd really love is a generic regional airport set, or perhaps a couple of smaller vignettes: a boarding gate, a jetway, a baggage claim area, etc.

I'd better brush up on my Blender skills...

Two sets which would fit the theme:

    These are also lovely sets!

BTW, has anyone noticed the trend where airports are switching over from white-on-brown (as seen in Waiting Space) to black-on-yellow (as seen in Airport Lounge)? My local airport (DIA) is in the middle of such a switchover at the moment. Wonder if it's fad or function?

DIA has been in constant renewal/renovation since I moved to Denver in 2014! I never know where to go when I run in there to see my son when he is on a layover or pickup a friend.

I am glad I haven't flown since 1990, London to San Francisco with a teen, three Lhasa Apsos and a cart full of luggage. Permanent Change of Station move. Right after Lockerbie too. Never again.

On the other site, mentioned, there is Polygon International Airport but it is for poser and has poser materials that would need converting. If you are willing to go to that extreme there is also a plane and ground support vehicles.

Actually, many 3D models designed for Poser do work in DAZ Studio.  Even .pz3 files can work in DAZ Studio, but you would have to drag and drop the .pz3 file into the scene's viewport.

There are comments on the Polygon International Airport saying that it does work in DAZ Studio, but you may need to manually add the textures.

You are correct. CR2 and PZ3 do work in Daz Studio, but as I said the textures are for poser so need to be tweeked. My first "port of call" is change them to !Iray Uber Base, then go from there, doing multiple renders until I am happy, then save the material preset.
