New Question about Scripts written for Daz Studio being used in Carrara

Heya everyone!
Bought this product in hopes that it will work in Carrara. Found here:
https://www.daz3d.com/automatic-4-zone-bend-correction-for-genesis-9
However I see that it doesn't work as expected in Carrara perhaps because it is script based. Most likely I.m missing something basic as usual. Any advoce on getting scripted morphs workin in Carrara? Feedback is appreciated as always. Thanks!

I did a quick search online and was sent to Carrara cafe as usual, and I do see an example of a script. https://carraracafe.com/?s=script
I am assuming I probably need to manually install the script from DS into a folder where Carrara can access it?
the only way I found one can use such things (cannot speak for that one but things like dzfires robots with pistons etc) and dformers is to actually save the poses and animations in DAZ studio in a form Carrara recognises
ie use Poser Pose Exporter to create a pz2 file
it can work on Genesis too but everything needs to be checked
it will keyframe and bake transforms and morphs
likewise baking aniblocks from the timeline can work, think you need animate2 paid version
Hi Rashad,
Just bought this product after reading your post. I'm a sucker for anything that might help the joint bends of Genesis 9. And you're right, they don't do anything in Carrara. but it was on sale, and it's not the worst 8 bucks I've ever spent. What you could do however is to pose the character in DS, applying the morphs, then export as obj and import that into Carrara using the HD plugin. That works for me for static poses, but if your doing anims, then ...
One product I can suggest the does work to some degree is the 'Natural Movement Pack for Genesis 9'. Those dials show up in Carrara to give you some control over joint bends.
Another product is 'Ultimate Natural Bend Morphs 1 or 2. Those have some effect in Cararra.
if going the obj export route, try TheMysteryIsThePoint's Sagan obj series option
and DCG obj sequence import in Carrara
can do HDmorphs too and Dforce exports as an obj series and Carrara hair works on it too
(if grown on the first obj then simulated not hair caps as no bones)
Thanks for that Wendy, I'll have to check those out. I have the DCG extension.
Thanks so much Wendy and ProPose! I'm too basic most likely for attempting to create a pz2 file. I'll try the natural bends and see what it can do for me. All the best!
it's called the Poser Format Exporter and if you bought the what used to be free script from DAZ it's under utilities in the D|S script folder
https://www.daz3d.com/poser-format-exporter-pfe still available, not free anymore sadly
note you need to add the file name and extension to your saved pose each time or it will overwrite
and also put it in your runtime library pose folder
