DAZ Studio No Longer Starts

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

I was tooling along with DAZ Studio (version 22) this morning when it suddenly shut down on me about three hours ago. All attempts to get it working again ever since have failed. Is anyone else having this problem? Or does anyone have any idea how I can get it to work again? I spend much of my day making renders and not being able to work on my favorite hobby is starting to make me very upset. :-(

    Are you sure your security software didn't decide it was a theat and remove it? I have had that happen when updating content installed through Daz Studio (MWB decideed it was a ransomware attack).

    Gave up trying to get Version 22 to start and simply uploaded version 23 from the DAZ Install manager.

    But now I can't get *it* to open. It shows me an open tab, but clicking on it doesn't work can't find a shortcut to activate or can I find anything that will let me create one..

    Help!

    When you try to start it, how long does it come?

    Naybe try to restart the computer, just to make sure there isn't something still running preventing it from starting properly.

    And no, it is not something I have ever experienced.

    When I try to start it, how long does *what* come? I do not understand the question, because essentiually nothibg comes. Each time I try to start it, it acts like I am trying to install it for the first time. Then, when i go thru all of that rigamarole, the open buttons will not work and it is all time wasted. I can't get anything to work, can;t even get a start application shortcut... nothing.

    I'll try a restart but the way things are going I am not very hopeful. But thanks for the idea anyway.

    Oh. Hey, okay. Looks like I was wrong and you were right. This time it actually opens. No idea if it works right yet but at least the screen opens now, which is more than it has done since this whole mess began.
