I received an e-mail from DAZ this morning.

"Thank you for your loyalty and support for Genesis 3! Today only, take an EXTRA 20% OFF any purchase of NEW RELEASES!*"  (Note the asterisk; it's important.)

Because below that, in the proverbial 'fine print': "Offer excludes new releases, PC+ items and gift cards.  Discount applies at checkout.  Offer valid only to recipient of this --"

Wait, what!?

    Yeah, I decided to give it a shot, and grabbed the Universal Demon Wings collection.  Price in cart was about 20% less than the store price.  (I didn't do the math, because -- unlike Danika McKellar, I completely and comprehensively suck at it.)

    But still....

    I was thinking of getting this but I still use all three figures and I don't want to pay for all three. I've been wondering which one I would find most useful, I'll probably end up not deciding and not buying any of them.

    But if they are props why do we need three versions? Can't we just move and resize them to fit each figure?

    There isn't a bundle.  And they don't appear to be props, they are poseable figures.  They are separate items, one for each of the three Genesis figures, plus an expansion pack (textures) for all of them; three installers in the product.

    One would think there would be a bundle, but no.  I had hesitated, too, but when I got that '20% off on new releases' e-mail offer (which excludes new releases), I decided to give it a go, and if the discount was declined, I could always clear the cart and do an 'Emily Litella' -- "Never mind!"  As it happened, it worked.  So I'm happy.

    I decided that even at an extra 20% off all three packs were more than I wanted to pay. I went for the Genesis 1 version and expansion pack, a bit unfair of me perhaps since I'm being rewarded for loyalty to Genesis 3, but there you go. And I was surprised that there are seperate installers for the three expansion packs. Presumably this means they have different UV maps and are not the same figure rigged three different ways which seems a strange way of doing it.

    Got the texture expansion so just need to get the Genesis 2 and 3 sets when I can. Meanwhile I'll see what I can do with Genesis 1 and the wings of hellfire...

    I really like the Fire one as well, thats what sold them for me. I can use that in my GN i'm working on. Thank you for adding it.
