Cannot login to Postgre SQL CMS in Daz 4.9

When I try to login it says login and password incorrect. I have check my firewall and it is not plocking any instance of DAZ Studio that I can see, it is actually listed as a safe software. I tried to look on the forums, but if there is already a post about this I cannot find it.

I can work offline but of course no smart content.

help would be appreaciated.

Thanks

What firewall software are you using?

I am using f-secure and it shows daz studio as trusted software with full access to the internet

  • Same problem -- no change to my configuration, running OSX

Now I get "cannot connect to Postgre SQL database" -- or something like that.

New error here, absolutely no change to my configuration since I last ran it

  • Make sure that it can connect to "localhost" aka "127.0.0.1" too. The connection to PostgreSQL isn't one "to the Internet" but one to your localhost. Some firewalls have issues with that because they don't provide a whitelist for it (which is really a major flaw on their part).

  • I had this problem in the beginning..  and re-installing the PostgreSQL did not work.

Ended up uninstalling everything and re-instal again.  That was the only way to fix it.

    C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D
    Nicht=  C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DazStudio4
Entschuldigung wegen meinem schlechtem Englisch und die Übersetzung. :)
    Ich hoffe ich konnte Helfen.:)

I had the same error message from PostgreSQL when I reality 4.2 Installed.
I uninstalled PostgreSQL CMS and installed again.
    No error message.
When I Reality Installed 2.5  this got error message again.
I uninstalled and installed PostgreSQL CMS again. Error.
Then I Uninstalled Reality 2.5. I got no error message.
It may be that PostgreSQL needs to be reinstalled repeatedly when a plugin is added, which is not compatible with DAZ Studio 4.9.
I think you can only DAZ Studio 4.9 compatible plugins install.
In DIM Install Manager that path for PostgreSQL CMS
    C: \ Program Files \ DAZ 3D
    Not = C: \ Program Files \ DAZ 3D \ DazStudio4
Sorry for my bad english and Translate :)
    I hope i could help :)

Make sure you have installed the correct  PostgreSQL.

If you have only installed PostgreSQL CMS From Valentina CMS Conversion it doesn`t work.

You have to install  PostgreSQL CMS (Win 64-bit).

This will not be install automatily and didn`t show up inside DIM unless you did a manual search for "PostgreSQL" and check the "display hidden" box in the top left side.

I have have installed the correct  PostgreSQL CMS.
PostgreSQL CMS From Valentina  and PostgreSQL CMS (Win 64-bit).
    I Think reality 2.5 don´t work with Studio 4.9
I test it with only PostgreSQL CMS (Win 64-bit) but Studio wants PostgreSQL CMS From Valentina, too

PostgreSQL fro Valentina is a conversion utility - it reads the Valentina database and writes out a PostgreSQL version. It doesn't actually install anything. Unfortunately if the Valentina database is corrupt, or on the point of corruption (which is a common problem, hence the switch to PostgreSQL) then the conversion will fail.

  • I panicked when i saw this error too, i simply solved it by running my daz 4.9 as administrator (win 10 home 64)
