Looking for stone textures/shaders for Iray.

Hi all,

 

I have some really nice stone textures/shaders for 3Delight which are great for texturing castle walls, stone walls, and so on. However, Iray doesn't want to render them, so I'm looking for some that will work with Iray. Any ideas? I did some searching on the Daz Shop site but couldn't really find anything equivalent. Does anyone know of any others?

    If they are image based tiling textures, it's simply a matter of adapting them to the Iray material...you would need to manually set them up.  The autoconversion won't be good enough to do all the tweaking that would need to be done.

    JGreenlees has 20 rock shaders in her Nature Shaders for Iray http://www.daz3d.com/nature-shaders which may be of interest. I have some of Jen's Iray shaders in this series and I like them very much.

    However, you could try applying one of the free Iray shaders (e.g. I think there is something called concrete that has a texture image) and swapping the image for the 3DL ones that you have. You could change the tiling frequency to suit the size of the new images if necessary.

    Another option is to wait until FilterForge is on sale. I picked it up for... what, $60? Something like that. And, as a result, I now have hundreds of seamlessly tiling stone textures (diffuse, bump/displacement, normal maps).

    And it's less than $11 right now (I'm SERIOUSLY considering getting it).
