connect and V4

will Victoria 4.2 and related products ever be supported by connect

or there are no plans for doing this ?

i would like to have a clean install route and not this mess with a little bit Dim, a little manual and rest connect

  • All we know is that they are not currently supported, but Daz has definitelt not said they never will be.

  • Because of the ExP technology V4 uses, any morph packs (i.e. Aiko 4, Morphs++, etc.) MUST be installed to the same base directory as V4 herself, otherwise, the morphs won't function correctly.  Connect, however, installs each product to it's own individual directory, which breaks the ExP.

I doubt DAZ will invest the time and resources necessary to overcome this issue, as their focus is now on the Genesis platforms.

I've set up V4 and the ExP morphs as a seperate Poser installation.

Given that you have to load any products from other 3D sites in the "old way", as well as any from freebie sites, then you are likely to always have a fair amount of content not installed via connect. Unless you are someone that obtains content exclusively from DAZ 3D, this issue will remain, and I suspect such people are pretty rare.
