Sending a Set to Unity

I have a project that is an Architectural Set with many props/objects in it.  I have all the items grouped in one main group.

How do I send this to Unity?

I have tried several times but don't get anything.

Thanks.

    Hi

If you want to export the whole scene/Environment at once then everything has to be under a single top level visible item (figure, prop) selecting a grouping non visible object will not export anything, the top level visible one has to be the one selected. Instances aren't sent they have to be converted to real ones, there are scripts including one sold on the store for that. The lights and other things in Daz before export will be converted to game objects in Unity, but they will be nothing Game Objects i.e. just Game Objects with nothing on them that you will just need to delete in Unity.

However, I personally don't recommend Environments / scenes with a lot of the same objects in them going to Unity, much more effectient to send single copy of prop / visible object for each type of visible object in the scene and place them in Unity, not figure clothing / accessories as they should be sent as one under a figure but also no figure should be sent in a scene should again be separate with only it's clothing and accessories. Otherwise you will get many copies of the same item exported many times with the same materials set up many times in Unity duplicated for each item of the same thing in a scene.

I recommend actually sending a single copy of every different type of visible item in your scene to Unity as individual Send To Unity exports by chosing the item under your figures/props individualy and sending it at 0,0,0 by itself as only item in Daz Scene and not sending a whole Environment, again not figure clothing / accessories as they should be sent as one under a figure but also no figure should be sent in a scene should again be separate with only it's clothing and accessories. After doing this place the items yourself in Unity by going through each item in your scene in Daz and manually setting the placement of the item to correspond to the Daz coordinates at about 100 to one from memory or something like that i.e. Daz x,y,z times 100 is Unity ordinates.

Post a shot of the scene you're trying to export with the hierarchy fully expanded would be helpful.
