Question on Sci-Fi Bastion

This product has all three download methods listed as options.

Why is it only listed for DS 4.9?

Does it mean it will not work in DS 4.8?

Thanks.

It always displays the latest version, I don't see any reason it would require 4.9.

As mike said above, it says 4.9 but i actually built the pack with 4.8 so i'm not sure why it states that.

Because it's an automatic thing...the version of DS changes and as long as something isn't explicitly tied to a particular version, the version is bumped to the latest.

Which is odd since if you look at any product in DIM (hover over the name), it tells you which versions of DS and Poser it works in. That means the information is there, just not accessed by the store software.

My understanding is that what is displayed on the store page isn't really coming from the product's info/metadata, but rather is a variable that says <latest> and gets filled in that way (it may be more complex than that, but that's what I've come away with from the various posts about it, in the past).

Really I don't mind it being a simple 'latest version' as long as more accurate info is available elsewhere. Given how touchy the store software can be, simple and functional seems a good choice

  • Thank you everyone.
