Problems with OneDrive eating up too much space on C

I have problems with OneDrive eating too much space on my C drive.  I use OneDrive as my computer doesn't have that much HDD space to begin with.  I am trying to buy some time until I can afford a better solution.

Does anyone know how to convice OneDrive to use less space on the C drive?

    Make files you don't need online only.

    Right-click on an item, and uncheck "Always keep on this device". You can also select Free Up Space to automate the process a bit more.
