Is DAZ connect broken already?

So... where exactly is Daz connect supposed to be installing files to?  I finally decided to try installing a few of the DAZ Connect only items and they never seem to actually make it to anyplace useable.  Weirder yet, they disappear from Smart Content once they "download" and the only place they show up in Content Manager after instalation is under the list of products.  Tracking that folder back takes it to a cloud folder, but the files seem to be unreadable by DS 4.9, and I find it totally bizarre that they don't show up in  content manager at all.  (and yes, the computer 's hooked directly up to DAZ with a live connection.)  Is anyone else having this problem?

  • If they are vanishing in Smart Content are you using the All or Installed filter tabs at the bottom? They should vanish from Available after installation - that's stuff you haven't yet installed.

I've tried all the tabs.  Once I've "installed" an item, it simply vanishes from the entire system except for appearing in the products list.  In addition, clicking on the "Available" tab also displays a huge selection of products that are already installed... 170 pages worth... and sorting by either "release date" or "order date", recent first, shows everything in random order.  My guess is that DAZ connect and my Content manager simply aren't talking to each other.

DAZ Connect only "recognizes" items as installed that are installed through it. So everything else, even if already properly installed through DIM, is marked as "ready to install", but you don't have to re-install it. If you do, you will have two copies of the same item - one is the one you installed in your regular way, and then, there's the extra version you installed through DC (Pitiful experience cheeky).

What I'e found is that it helps to switch of the content sensitivity in the listing, as many items will not show up otherwise.
