Texture Headache

So I installed 4.9 Daz Studio and I found that V4.2 does not accept some textures.
I tried to load up some examples, and I know you've probably heard this before and someone is going to say
"This topics been covered"
I've been with Daz for yeons, every upgrade just brings the usual hiccups. Oh what I would give for Daz Studio 2.

Any way I have no idea why this is happening, I am flummoxed.
If someone can help, I'd be grateful thanks.

Agree, that is weird. Haven't seen that before. Have you checked surfaces to see what UV is being used?
In looking at your screengrabs, I notice that you are using categories in your content tab. When you moved to DS 4.9, what steps did you take to migrate your custom content settings? It appears that the database is confusing the texture maps (I seem to see bits of several different texture sets showing up - muscle maps, venation maps). I don't use categories myself, but someone who does may pop by and know exactly what has happened, but I strongly suspect that the database wasn't migrated correctly with the upgrade.
Thanks Vex,
Yes I checked the surfaces very odd.
well thats what I thought was odd, that V4 ends up with the head perfect or not , and then the maps are all over the place, when I go to try and change the maps, it just reverted back to what we both see.
Very frustrating, I thought I knew Daz Studio, now its a complete alien to me. lol
I will try reinstalling again, and see if that helps thanks SixDs
looks like a totally wrong texture for that bodypart, should have nothing to do with UV, I would say wrong texture. I the content library is messed up in some way.
I don't think your database has anything to do with it. The database does the same job as the card catalog at the library. It just indexes where a files lives.
I've seen this before when I was playing around with texture atlas. I changed the size of the textures from 4096 x 4096 to 8192 x 8192 and I got the same results.
oddly, mine would render perfectly, but I had the same mess in the viewport as you do.
