Is posting an original (own work) .obj morph of Genesis allowed.

Just to clarify, I don't mean here on the Daz website, I mean any website.

No, the correct method, assuming this is a morph you mae by sculpting the mesh directly, would be to go to File>Save as>Support Asset>Morph Asset, enter your name and a product name and then select your morph. That will create a file in \Data\DAZ 3D\Genesis\Base\Morphs\You\Yourproduct, which you can then distribute. If it's a morph made by setting values for existing morphs just save a Pose preset, selecting All morphs and no transforms, and distribute that.

    Thanks for the reply.

So the distribution of an original morph via .obj file is illegal?

Yes, because obj files include the mesh of the original model.

the DAZ 3D EULA does explain this, https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/entries/123876

Thanks. I am rather lazy, and obj file is an easy choice for the lazy amateur content creator.

I'll use the official method, as recommended.

Its more than a recommendation......if you did distribute an object file, you could be open to a lawsuit.......so yeah...best to do things properly LOL
