How do people who manage directory files use Daz Connect?

Right now all downloads I do are downloaded to a test library, tested and verified, then copied into the primary.   I need to rearrange all the locations and categories for each install.

I do this to detect bugs from bad releases, and ensure that I can find content in my library in a timely fashion.

I still have no clue how this is meant to be done or work.  No docs, no support, and lots of rumors.

My current and completely unverified understanding is that I have to install into my primary library.  (Where?  How?)  Richard Haseltine (?) is supposed to create a script which will create links that I play with?  (True?  Timeline?)

Again since there is no documentation on any of what Daz is doing, I can only guess what a good approach would be.  If I create a Daz Connect Libary will that be a merged directory structure with my non-Daz Connect library?

Do I have to create a new Library for Daz Connect Managed installs?  If I do, can I put that in a subdirectory of my main linbrary, and put links in my main library?  (This would be an improvement for me I'd have managed installs and the ability to muck with where I see it in the product directories.  People\Genesis 3 Female\Characters\... etc.)

Does Daz have any intention of documenting Daz Connect at some point?  Its never to late.  This glossy doesn't help at all, I can find no details;

On a side note: I really have no use for in Daz shopping. Can that bit be disabled?  (I can't find anything in the FAQ, and there's no documentation...)

[I don't understand how a squitty little UI will help me figure out what I need.  Currently the biggest issue I have is that the shop with a full Web UI has a very poor ability to search or locate what I may want.  I fail to see how that will get any better.  Filling my face with stuff I know I don't want, complete with tiny pictures isn't gonna help me make decisions.]

    In regard to your primary question we actually have a thread talking about how to do this with some good in-detail examples of how to run that way:

    As far as the in-app store, it can be hidden as easily as any other tab in the system it doesn't get any special treatment because we just consider it another tool to use. How it could come in handy is that the products listed there are filtered using the same sort of filtering as Smart Content, so if you are checking out the "Hair" category and you have a Genesis 2 Male figure selected it should filter the products displayed to only things with files in the "Hair" category that are compatible with Genesis 2 Male. We are hoping that being able to see a filtered view of the store makes it easier for everyone to find what they are really looking for.

    So, what does this mean for cleanup and error fixing of the web-based store? I hope that resources will still be given to that as a lot of people will continue to use it, and that is the "first impression" you give to potential new users.

    Sorry for this being OT. Move or split it as you see need.

    Thanks Daz_Rawb...  Using the file Manager now looks like a boat load of work.  It will reduce my tolerance to those purchases.  (I'll avoid unless necessary.)
