What The DAZ Connect!!!!!!?????

So, DAZ Connect is currently a four-letter word in my mind. I'm seeing ABSOLUTELY nothing positive about this change. At first, I was like OK they want to protect content, blah blah blah. But, personally, I can't even find the content I've purchased to download. And then when you find it and click on it and click on it a few more times (after nothing has happened), then maybe it will finally start to download. I'm currently installing Lynsey right now. What I did find is ABSURDLY Slow to download. And I thought Install Manager was SLOW. I'm a DAZ fan, but this is CRAZY. Well, while I've been "installing" her I've gotten frustrated, read through the other posts about this horrible addition, watched the Video from DAZ, which does not make it easier, and purchased and downloaded other items from another retailer that starts with the letter R. Lynsey, on the other hand, is just now at 50% (REALLY!?). It's not my download speeds. I'm also not a big fan that the new DAZ Connect stuff cannot be installed via Install Manager. Why isn't there a simple way to just download what you just purchased through the DAZ Store online.You know, a simple DOWNLOAD NOW button that just downloaded and installed everything at once instead of playing hide and go seek with your purchases.  I've seen is said elsewhere, but if this doesn't get fixed soon, I simply WILL NOT purchase anything that requires me to use DAZ Connect. This may have been a move to support and protect vendors, but this could end up eating into the profit margins of vendors.

My positive is the money that I had been spending on DAZ items can now be used elsewhere.

Downloading is slow because DAZ released 4.9 and then gave us some great sales. Everyone is downloading their goodies.

If, instead of starting yet another thread, you went to the Daz Studio Forum and read the threads there, the Official release thread, the FAQ threads, the encryption thread etc, you will find lots of expalantions and real time posts by Daz_People who are informing you of the whys and wherefores.
