Can someone who "bought" these please tell me: do they turn up in your Product Library like non-encrypted products availble as a DAZ Connect Offline Package?

The lag that some of us seems to get for downloads via Connect really needs to be looked at.  My products from yesterday's purchases, finally show in Connect today.  However, I had to search for them when they should have been on the Available tab.  Yet... the free product I picked up (Platinum +) showed up almost immediately...

Testing, I discovered if I uninstall via DIM (I got tired of waiting for my products), they showed up on the Available tab where moments before they were not there.

The offline install is still encoded, thats why you download both a package and an authorization file, and if you follow the instructions pointed out, it will install from that download.

why do this to a perfectly nice g2m outfit, why not some g3 outfit i wouldn't be interested in?

I agree, since G2M is usable in Carrara and Poser, it seems odd that they would choose to limit sales by making it DAZ connect only. With a Genesis 3 item, it makes more sense.

Thanks Totte - I just wanted to check that these encrypted products could be downloaded through Product Library on a laptop then installed on a desktop PC (provided you have first validated your account on the desktop PC) - before I consider buying anything marked as encrypted (even freebies).

I can see that non-encrypted products will work that way (my Product Library is full of examples), but several posts in the forum have been about difficulty finding the encryted products in DIM (not surprising since they won't be there) and even via DAZ Connect (presumably a glitch) so I wanted to check that they are available through Product Library.

Having given up on waiting for my Dragon Queen outfit to appear in Available products in Connect I decided to try the manual route and downloaded the .sea and .sep files. I put these in the \My Daz Connect Library\data\cloud\install folder (you have to create the "install" folder initially). Then I went in to Studio and used the "Install Offline Products" action. This gives you no feedback so I looked in the cloud folder and lo and behold it had installed the product—or had it?

The files for this product were installed in this structure: \data\cloud\1_22474\people\genesis 3 female\clothing\dragon queen

This looks correct to me as I have other Connect installed products which have a similar structure. Metadata is also installed in the "meta" folder. However, Studio is completely unable to see the product or any of its files. I've tried every single way of finding them: they are not in Smart Content Products or Files or in Product Library mapped folders or Products.

So next I checked for the new free Sc-Fi tutorial bundle that I had installed as a test previously today—similarly no sign of this either. This product isn't encrypted so it doesn't seem to be a problem with duf.enc files per se.

Finally I installed some shaders I bought at the same time today via DIM (which still haven't turned up in Connect either) and they installed fine and were immediately available in SC and Product Library.

if I could only get the damned 3 freebies to install through DAZ connect ie find them, I would buy that one to test if can be resaved as support asset for carrara.

but as I have had no success getting any DAZ connect only content will not buy it to try

I'm with you! I just don't think the sale to download and install pipeline makes sense at all. For those of us used to DAZ's folder structure, it's obnoxious, but imagine someone new who buys this content and then has to figure out where DAZ has hidden the content. I buy A LOT of content and I really think this process is horrible for power  purchasers. I should not have to play hide and go seek every time I make a purchase.

The lag is something that will probably go away over time.  I think it was Daz_Rawb that mentioned something about things being much slower than anticipated due to server load...
