How do i get the optitex dynamic clothing stay on a aniblock animated figure!
Hello ,
I would greatly appreciate your help, if anybody has any tips or pointers to tutorials that can help me understand how you get this clothing to stay on the figure as i add animate movements in daz 4.8 , i am a new user and just cannot get a grasp of it , the clothing just break's apart , i think it is something to do with the preferances panel in the dynamic clothing box that pops out , i cannot locate a preferences tab , that i saw on an earlier daz 3 tutorial that you could alter something called animation subframes they turned this up to 15 and pressed drape and it made the clothing keep on through the full animation, please any help, pointers or tips , i would be very grateful to you all
thankyou Geoff

If you don't see the preferences tabs, my guess is that your using the free version that comes with Daz Studio. You need to purchase the full version. http://www.daz3d.com/dynamic-clothing-control which looks like it's on sale today (1/22/2016)
Thankyou , i will take a look , i never knew this was available

How are you controlling the animation? If you're using Dynamic clothes, you must tick the "Animated" option in the top of the Dynamic Clothing tab. It picks up the animation settings from the Timeline. You can't run this as a standard animation, you must run it as an Animated Drape.
The problem is that dynamic clothes don't fit to the figure in the same way as non-dynamics; the way the cloth fits as the animation progresses is controlled by the dynamic drape, not by the way it conforms to the figure and picks up its changing pose parameters.
Another thing: IIRC if you're using aniblocks you have to first bake your animation to the "regular" timeline so thatthe dynamic engine can "see" your animation.
Hi Spotted Kitty,
thankyou for your help, i have purchased the full contro versionl of the dynamic clothing that the guy above mentioned now & upgraded to 4.9 , still cannot find the prefs tab for it ,damping, weight though it seems to of added a few more items in there, but there is no sign of the panel it shows on the add to advertise it, do you know if it picks up the animation setting from the animblock go figure movement panel or is it just the timeline it will drape from, the tutorials i have found are from about 7 years ago from very early daz 3, and it seems these boxes & settings ect are not on the version i have, i cannot find any of the panels it shows on the latest add like wind resistance , gravity , bend resistance , weight , friction ect, can you tell me where they are as they are not on my dynamic clothing tab, any help i will be greatfully appreciated for thanks again !
Regards Geoff
Thankyou Leana,
Never knew this either, think i am going to struggle with this topic, seems mighty complicated !
Did you enter the plugin serial number? You should have the full paid-for functions for 30 days even if you don't but Weird Stuff™ happens sometimes. Look at the Dynamic Clothing tab; if it has two sub-tabs, you're in the reduced free plugin, if you see all four, you're in the full one.
I can't help you there, I don't have Go Figure.
Select a dynamic cloth item in your scene, go to the Dynamic Clothing tab, switch to the Panel sub-tab, open your selected cloth and select some or all of the cloth surfaces. All the functions you named will now show up.
Whups, except Wind and Gravity, they're on the Physics sub-tab.
