Haha, thanks!
More ridiculous, fetish clothing....https://www.daz3d.com/dropcut-outfit-set-for-genesis-9 and https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-classic-leather-tube-dress-outfit-for-genesis-9-8-and-81-female.
At least the second one looks like something someone could conceivably wear. That first one, it's just a matter of time before physics wins.
Maybe that's the point?
This has become more of a daily drop situation, like the “everyday casual” wear. I really miss the high-quality fantasy and sci-fi outfits we used to get.
The releases are making it easy for me to save my store credit. Those items I love but are expensive, I am wishlisting. There will be sales in January or March when I can pick them up.
That's what we call composite material today, used in many contexts where strength is needed (like tank armour, wind turbine wings) because it's often much stronger than if just using a single material, however strong it may be.
Yes well, it seems the weird skimp wear has basically taken over the new releases. The leather dress is well made though, as far as I can see, Linday usually makes quality stuff. And the dress has some very realistic looking morphs. 'Tis a pity it's only useful for very specific renders. I wish we'd get this kind of detailed work on more every day clothing, or that the skimp wear makers would include options. So many times I see dresses with these weird cut-outs in the middle of the chest for instance, and if they'd only make this a trans map instead of an actual cut-out, the garment would be useful in so many different situations ... But they sell quite enough as is, I guess.
I look at it as a great method of depressing sales for those of us who need to be careful of our credit and cash flow. I am about to lose 9 tokens soon because of this.

Am I misremembering, or has it been a very long time since we got an addon character to a core figure (that wasn't a Premiere exclusive)?
+101
I am just a base member but I bought this hair
https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-carter-wild-flip-for-genesis-9
58% off with my 1 token $9.20
while a month's membership costs less, I would spend much more in the end as too many tempting things I don't need
not falling for the sunk cost fallacy
also gas and electricity bills taking my entire pay tomorrow
You can help answer a question in the "Reporting" thread.
Does it include the beard?, Because the beard is in every promo image, but there's no text stating that it is, or isn't included.
It doesn't
I thought it wouldn't, but it was a valid question for elor to ask.
I assumed it was just the hair and in fact thought it would be good on a woman too
if something is not listed it's usually just a promo addition
I really like Vyktohria's Conforming Cloth. So many applications! And since it's Better than Daz+ today, it's pretty much a no brainer.
I'm tempted to buy it, but can it be used with G8M? Since its SBH, I think its not possible, but asking anyway in case you've tried it.
I don't see the problem.
I mean, Whisky loves it:
... actually, no, wait... it's Jade I'm supposed to put in the daft outfits, isn't it?
... oh dear.
The expression on her face is perfection.
Forgive me but I need a bucket https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-dollhouse-dreams-complete-wearable-set-for-genesis-9
I don't know if it'll work in this case, but @Toyen shared a tutorial on how to do it from G8 to G9 and off the top of my head, said that it should work the other way around:
https://www.deviantart.com/toyen3d/journal/Tutorial-How-to-Fit-Poseable-Hair-to-Genesis-9-933611835
Oh my......really....
A common and simple technique for fitting hair to a figure it wasn't intended for is to parent the root object (usually the scalp in case of SBH) to the new figures head. You can then scale it up/down as appropriate and/or use any included morphs to do so - it's usually easier to hide the hair when doing this so you only see the scalp.
Once it is roughly the same size (doesn't need to be perfect, a bit of pokethrough is fine) you can then add a smoothing modifier to the scalp and set the new figure as collision object, turn the hair back on and everything should look good - this will also retain any custom bones as it's not being autofitted.
Thanks, @Silas3D!
Understood.
These might help your character: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/543536/g8f-and-g8m-unwell-poses-last-illness-for-g8m/p1 and he/she will need to use this https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/543531/waste-bin-freebie
There are additional unwell poses for G8M and down a toilet boil bowl in the unwell thread.
Regards,
Richard
You're welcome! For anyone that misses having a separate lip surface on Genesis 9: https://www.daz3d.com/lip-service-for-genesis-9
Commercial thread: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/745211/now-available-lip-service-for-genesis-9-commercial
Haha! I do have those poses and my character indeed will need to use them if anyone wearing that outfit feels the need to swan around.
And some eyeball bleach.
